We are the local history group of the Dulwich Society
This blog consists mainly of articles on the local and social history of Dulwich, many of which first appeared in the Society’s journal (you can find the journal here).

As members of the Dulwich Society, we promote and encourage research into Dulwich’s fascinating past. We hold regular meetings and our activities include writing for the Society’s Journal, giving talks and guiding local walks. We curate exhibitions, produce information boards, and contribute to celebrations such as the Dulwich Festival. We also produce books such as the Pubs of Dulwich and Herne Hill. Recently we installed commemorative plaques around Dulwich to commemorate civilian deaths during World War Two, with an accompanying leaflet for local schools. We are always keen to welcome new members, apply here.
